meet the founder
Meet Rico Grier, the visionary behind ERA Sports Management. Rico's journey in basketball began with a stellar career at Pfeiffer University, where he earned All-American honors twice and secured a place in the Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to the sport.
After his professional career overseas, Rico's passion for basketball never waned. He seamlessly transitioned into organizing programs and camps in the Charlotte area, making a significant impact by managing a youth travel basketball program with over 20 teams. He also orchestrated tournaments that drew over 175 teams from across the nation. Rico was instrumental in the creation of Vertical Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Kanye West's Donda Academy.
Rico's commitment to developing young athletes extends beyond the court. He has mentored individuals from elementary school to the professional level, guiding them through the challenges and successes of their athletic careers. Rico's own story of redemption fuels his mission at ERA Sports Management—to empower aspiring athletes on their journey to professional success.
